Born out of Oakland, Ca, No Worries Catering started off as a 1998 Oakland High School business proposal. After being awarded with a small grant to fund the basics and having a solid foundation to the newly found cooking technique, NWC made its way from the smallest parties to the biggest events and received the support from its community. From fundraiser events and company meetings to anniversary parties and wedding receptions, NWC has consistently provided vegetarian Filipino food like no other, because there is no other!

No Worries is committed to minimizing its impact on the environment by fully supporting the vegan/vegetarian diet. It is a proven fact that eating a meatless diet can have tremendous benefits on the environment by lessening the use of our natural resources to raise animals. No Worries intends to provide healthy and delicious vegetarian food for people to enjoy while giving light to the possibility of a more conscientious eating habit.

Traditional recipes are used as guidelines for the young, innovative chef of No Worries. Jay-Ar Isagani Pugao, a 10 year culinary extraordinaire of Filipino vegetarian food, took his mother’s original cooking methods and has taken it a step further. Instead of using meat for a predominantly meat based food culture, he uses an array of substitutes, ranging from soy protein to wheat gluten to tofu and seitan. However, he loves to balance his dishes with colorful, fresh and if preferred, organic vegetables which bring life to the palate. Jay-Ar Isagani has pioneered in Filipino vegetarian food and continues to innovate many traditional appetizers, desserts and entrees into vegetarian cuisine with origins from the Philippines.
